The FIFA World Cup, sometimes, the football World Cup and the FIFA World Cup, but as a general rule, as the World Cup is an international soccer by men of the national team football member countries of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World, sports Body of the global society. The current state of the world, Italy, follows with four titles, while Germany holds three. The others are former champions Uruguay (who won the tournament), and Argentina with two titles, and in England and France, with a single stock.

The recent World Cup Final took place between June 9 and July 9, 2006 in Germany, where Italy was crowned world champion after the victory against France in the final, and won the penalty shoot-out 5-3 after the match ended 1-1 after extra time. Germany ranked third after the victory against Portugal 3-1. The next World Cup finals will be held in 2010 in South Africa and the 2014 finals will be held in Brazil.

Since 1991, FIFA has also hosted the FIFA Women's World Cup every four years.
